Scheduled Court Play

This past Monday "official" scheduled play started, signified with the collection of 50 cents per player. The complete schedule is being phased in as more players arrive and sign up to play. (See Court schedule on right under menu).

For several years Jeanne Gearhart had volunteered to be the Round Robin Coordinator. With the assistance of her Round Robin Captains, Jeanne undertook this 7 day a week commitment of coordinating, scheduling, maneuvering and continuing to develop a policy for play in a time of exceptional club membership growth.
Thanks to Jeanne our club members could all depend on having the round robins, that they looked forward to playing. A "Huge" Thank You to Jeanne for the extraordinary amount of time she has given the club as the Round Robin Coordinator as well as for her continued behind the scenes assistance.

A warm "Welcome" to Joyce Staffen our new Round Robin Coordinator and her Round Robin Captains who are now at the helm of running " Official" scheduled Round Robins

A note of Thanks to Noel While for coordinating the Round Robins from the onset of the season while this transition was underway.

Thank You to Vance Christiansen for continuing to be our "Shootout Coordinator", which is another position that requires commitment and behind the scenes work.

It is without question that these volunteers have given and continue to give Our Club Members fun and dependable scheduled play -  Thank YOU

WOW - WHAT A CLINIC

Thanks to our Club President AJ Fraties, who arranged this clinic for the residents of Palm Creek. This was a "great" kick off to our new season!
Mark Friedenberg
National Champion - Author - Current USAPA Ratings Chairman
Past USAPA President

Mark came to us directly from a week of hard play at the USAPA National Tournament where he once again won several medals.  As Mark resides in Seattle, WA., this stop was not exactly on his way home.
Over the two days Mark explained and demonstrated every aspect of play as well as answered every question he was asked.  As an added bonus he brought with him Don Paschal to assist him in demonstrating and to play in an exhibition match

 Don Paschal
National Champion Adult Division

Both Mark and Don generously donated their time and expertise for these two days so that the proceeds from this clinic will be donated to the children in our area to enhance their learning  and playing the game of pickleball.

If all of this wasn't enough, they also agreed to do a mini clinic for the children who attend "Len Colla Recreation Center" after school.  This center has 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pickleball courts. With boundless energy and enthusiasm these children where given a memory for a life time

The children ended the clinic on a high note with home made cookies and lemonade
