Update!!!

2017 USAPA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2017 USAPA National Championships will be held November 4 through November 12, 2017, with November 13 as the rain delay date. We are returning to Palm Creek in Casa Grande, Arizona and will be playing all events on 32 permanent pickleball courts.
The National Championships is an opportunity for players at all levels to play against their peers. With that goal in mind, we are pleased to announce a new format for the age event PLUS showcasing the best players in the sport in head-to-head competition TWICE during the nine days of the National Championships.
Registration opens August 1, 2017 at 1:00PM PDT
The USAPA National Championships have traditionally been divided into two major competitions. The first five days are organized by age; the last three days are open events for players who have USAPA ratings of 4.5 or 5.0.  All players who register for the age events are divided into groups based on the age of the youngest team member. This format potentially places 3.0 players against 5.0 players.
In 2017, we are changing the format to better reflect our goal of welcoming players at all skill levels! Opening weekend (Nov. 4 – 8) will feature new formats and events:
  • Age/Skill:  Age divisions will be divided by skill: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, & 5.0.  If there are not enough players in a given skill group to create a competitive tournament experience, two skill groups may be combined within the age group. This format places players of the same age group and the same skill levels in head-to-head competition on a national stage.
  • PPF: the Professional Pickleball Federation (PPF) will hold a PPF Championship event recognizing this year’s top PPF performers. Stay tuned for announcements on the details of this fantastic event.
NOTE: Players who are eligible to participate in the PPF Championships may choose to play PPF or Age/Skill but not both.
On the second weekend (Nov. 10-12), as in prior years, all Open events will be played:
  • Open (19 and older) doubles, mixed doubles, and singles
  • Senior Open (50 and older) doubles, mixed doubles and singles
Make your plans. Register early as the number of players will exceed the capacity of the venue. Check USAPA.org for updated information about the
2017 USAPA National Championships!
